Karen studied Economics at The University of Texas in Austin. A couple of years into a Corporate lifestyle, she found herself needing to use her hands to express herself. Since attending The French Pastry School in Chicago, she has worked in Napa and New York and staged in Copenhagen (Denmark), Dranouter (Belgium), and Gent (Belgium).
When she isn’t baking, Karen trains with her sister who is an ironman, hosts dinner parties, tries her hand at smoking meats, drinks tea, and eats pies. Check out her book, The Art of Baking: Oxheart at bread.blog.
